About In His Steps
In His Steps was founded in 2009 by Mary Rosenberger.  A student of Ballet Magnificat,  Mary was committed to continuing her vision to start a Christian ballet company where dancers could learn to worship the Lord through the medium of dance. In addition to presenting full length ballets and individual pieces with original choreography, In His Steps gives dancers the opportunity to share their personal testimonies of the life changing power of Jesus Christ with their audiences.  In His Steps is committed to holding a high standard of technical excellence while encouraging spiritual growth in its dancers.
In His Steps is a non-profit organization. Unlike many other companies, it is not a full time ministry. In His Steps is also unique in that it offers Trainees and Company members the opportunity to tour and perform in many different venues including churches, public schools, hospitals and nursing homes approximately once a month. Each trainee and company member is required to be at every performance.
The heart of this company is a "ministry attitude," committed to serving others, and reaching others for Christ. Dancers are encouraged to spend daily time praying for each other, and for each performance we are blessed to participate in. As dancers, we feel we have the unique ability to worship God with our entire bodies. We hope to inspire others through this, and ultimately give all the honor and glory to Jesus Christ.

A large part of the ministry of In His Steps is having a hands-on experience in teaching classes at it's home base, Seneca School of Performing Arts. Company dancers are encouraged to take part in teaching during the school year, as well as during it's Summer Intensive. As dancers ultimately seeking to glorify Jesus Christ with our bodies, hearts, and minds, we feel it is important to provide an atmosphere where younger dancers feel challenged, yet loved and encouraged.
